It’s probably wishful thinking to believe they’d call us this late, but I hope I’m wrong!

I get what you’re saying. It’s a little different given the timing of their applications vs other application cycles.

Well to be fair, I think them sending out updates on the process would open the gates for way too much communication from us overly anxious candidates, haha. Some people (like me) interviewed close to 2 months ago, but others interviewed only 2 weeks...

I heard directly from the program on 7/8 that we would know “within two weeks, but hopefully sooner”, so we definitely should know by this Friday. Of course, none of this is written in stone and things change all the time, so who knows 🙃

Same - took those classes and also a research course. I do hope it helps my chances. I know Pitt uses a point system so I’m sure it has a tangible benefit in the selection process. Got it - what made the say no the the program you got into?

Congrats! I’m sure you’re happy. Were you accepted part time last year or did you just take courses as a non-degree student? I was under the impression that this was a guaranteed admission for the following cohort.

Portion of the late April group (unclear if all of the group or a portion of the group are waiting on decisions) Then everyone from the May group and both June groups. So 3.5(ish) groups, which is likely ~70 or so people waiting to hear back. ...

I was late May and I am already going crazy! Id guess that’s still good news for you as you’re still in consideration. Do you know if anyone from your interview group has heard about decisions?

Definitely seems like there was a very strong pool this year. Or perhaps they got more applications than they expected after the second deadline. I'm really starting to see the value in priority deadlines, haha.

Thank for doing that recon! Allowing themselves two full weeks from the final interview date to make decisions makes total sense. Of course, every second feels like an eternity, haha. Here's hoping that we hear back tomorrow!

That might be true. They may send all the emails out as a blast and then slowly call individuals

This forum is relatively anonymous and everyone here seems to be really on board with transparency, so if someone got a rejection letter I think they would’ve posted it here. Also, they specifically said that they would call us before they email...

I sure hope so haha. Seems like they like Thursday as all the interviews have been on Thursday as well? Haha

I also haven’t heard anything. It’ll be a long weekend if they do not reach out by tomorrow!
