Good luck Bama! I am in the UAB program right now and it is great. Don't worry about the 10 pounds and don't freak about the interview, it is not a grill session by any means.

I can't complain....I'm actually enjoying class and the studying hasn't been a hassle like I remembered it being in undergrad. Only 5 weeks in and a long way to go, but so far so good.

The easier way to look at it is this: you won't retire until you are in your 60's, so that leaves you with roughly 30 years of worlking left in your life. Would you rather do it as a CRNA or an RN?

Most programs will give you instructions telling you who they want references from, i.e., immediate supervisor, nursing instructor, etc....just ask. Don't bother trying to get "impressive" people to write them for you like big name surgeons or Deans ...

It really depends on the program. If you are strong in grades and experience then I would say don't worry about it. If you are applying to UAB I don't think they care about GRE scores, just so long as you have the minimum...I know people that got in ...

Thanks for the tip Phish. I am going to see if any of the options without origination fees pan out. So far as I can tell, that comes down to just Sallie Mae Tuition Answer and Wells Fargo Education Connection. I've never understood origination fees.....
