University = education in an institution of higher learning. Loosely translated, could signify any institution that offers education beyond the end of high school, and that is at or above a certain enrollment number.
Graduate = any degree above the standard undergraduate bachelor's degree, i.e. Masters or Ph.D.
Professional = ?? Professional usually applies to the position held in the workplace, not to the type of education that you have achieved.

The term "professional education" is often used to refer to a degree that prepares you for a particular occupation/profession (like law school, med school, nursing school) rather than just a general academic subject/degree. The law schools, med schools, and colleges of nursing, social work, OT, etc., of a particular university are often referred to as "the professional schools" while the other kinds of graduate degrees are categorized as "the graduate school" or "graduate studies." At least, that's what I'm used to seeing.
thank you for your reply... hmm..because I'm looking for a nursing job here at las vegas and i'm trying fill up the application form.. there is a column asking for a university education and another column for a professional/graduate education..now, i'm confused where to place my nursing education..is it in the university education or the graduate/ professional column?thank you for your time...:)

Are you a university or college graduate? Then it would be university, regardless of the degree. Or a Diploma nurse - that would really be a 'technical' education. Graduate/Professional refers to post-college education.
And watch your spelling.

oh i'm sorry about the spelling.my keyboard is broken. So I should put my nursing education to the college/university column? I don't know if I'am correct.. but graduate/ professional education means masteral degree right? because that's what we are accustomed in the philippines..i'm not really familiar with the U.S educational system...
