Problem: Nursing program waiting list and way to many applicants

Published

I attend Cumberland County College. I am a sophmore and just applied to the nursing program this year with every prereq but 1 completed. I just took the NLN's last week and because of the

A) waiting list

B) the amount of applicants (probally 500)

C) the maximum # of people accepted (60)

I do not think I will be in the next class of nursing students. That worries me so much (like my results for the NLNs)

Is anyone aware of a college in Southern New Jersey that has no waiting period or a maximum acceptance? Would help so much. Cant get those nonsense NLN's off of my mind. Can someone else please tell me that they were not readily prepared for that test as well? I read the books, took the practice tests, and still managed to be totally confused!!!! Where did all those physics questions come from and why is that not required but still all over the test!!!!! :angryfire

hi,

which school in northern nj do you attend? i am about to try BCC. i took the NLN in january and had composite score of 128. are there any schools in northern nj that require nln?

Hi Damode, I go to BCC now and I am starting the nursing program in Sept, just a few weeks away! BCC requires the accuplacer test, it's a test on math, writing, reading, you apply to the program and then qualify to take the test, they give you a date and you take it at their computer lab. It's untimed and not really too difficult. Good luck!

Thank you so much, I think this is a wonderful forum. I am about to do some pre requisite to enter the RN program. I will need all the help and advise that I can get from everyone out there.

Thanks
