names have been changed for the sake of confidentiality
my original probation monitor, *Bob*, never notified me that I was going to have a new probation monitor. I only found out after trying to get in contact with *bob* via e-mail/phone to no avail. i finally heard his voicemail saying that he has moved on and that we all have a new monitor, *Sharon*. this didn't even more than two months. I had to call my states BON myself, asked them what was going on and they said I finally have a permanent monitor, *Ross*. the lady explained that *Ross* was getting around to e-mailing everyone that he was our new probation monitor but lord knows how long that was going to take. By the way, he still hasn't notified me that he is my new monitor.
two things concern me here: when it is my time to apply for early termination next year august, will *Ross* take into account that minus the one positive I've had in the first month of my contract, I have 3 years of clean testing now. I feel like all of this is just going go out the window. my original monitor, *Bob*, knows how hard I've been working to keep myself accountable.
also, how unprofessional is all of this?? they expect us to be prompt and maintain constant communication with all that we do but they don't do the same.
Just had to get that off my chest. Thanks for reading.

My first monitor was amazing.. very understanding and kind. But she retired. They never let me know either. I had to find out by being contacted by the supervisor for being turned in by my AODA Counselor for admitting to taking a blood pressure pill I wasn't prescribed cuz I was at work and 180/120 and didn't want to have a stroke. They deemed that a relapse!!!
Anyway.. I'm on my 4th one now. I don't think that job is a very high paid one.. and they are overworked. So turnover is high.

I'm on my 3rd one...no notification when any of the changes took place. Seems to be a running theme in these programs. As far as your question of will any of your "served time be lost" when your monitors have changed,I wouldn't worry about that. The dates listed on your signed contract is what ALL your monitors should abide by. They can't just change your required length of time whenever they want...atleast I wouldn't think so. You're lucky if you have a chance for early release. We aren't that lucky in my state. Good luck! L
Hey StillRN, do you still have the same one?

You will find that we are the only ones expected to be accountable.
