Hello everyone, well I'm a casualty of the economy and I've decided to just go in a different direction career wise.
I live in the South Jersey/Philly area. I've been looking at LPN courses and was wondering if this school is a legitimate way to go, any info would be great thanks.

I actually met with an admissions lady at the Cherry Hill campus a few days ago. A nurse I currently work with graduated from there. I've done research and I have found good and bad reviews. Have you considered attending the program? Anyone have any advice about this program?

I graduated from Prism in Cherry Hill a year ago, as for all programs there are good and bad. I really loved Prism, you could go to instructors for extra help, and they did whatever , tutoring etc. for us to pass. You will not relax at Prism, of course you will hear bad things about any program, but most of the negative feed back was from students who flunked out, e-mail me if you need any more info

Hi, I am currently enrolled in Prism's Cherry Hill Program. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. Do you feel you were adequately prepared for testing after graduation? Was it hard to find work? What are some facilities this school uses for clinical rotations? Did you guys always finish at 4 p.m. or were you dismissed early often? How's traffic in the area after dismissal? I also wanted to say thanks for your post. It's nice to hear good thing about my new school!
I graduated from Prisms first class.I felt prepared 18 out of 20 passed the first time. .
(Mary) really helped us anyway she could,we went to mostly long term care facilities,we thought we wouldn't be prepared but the sub acute units have a lot of what u need. A lot of hospitals don't hire lpns but u will work.I don't like Ltc facilities I work in a prison. I will be graduating with my Rn in July from Excelsior.I loved Prism work hard and u will get what u need.I work all the time with new Rn grads, I train them because we had a lot of hands on time with meds and such.if its not pixis they don't know how to pull meds. Learn all u can
Thanks Ericadawn, for responding to my post. That's great news! I am looking forward to meeting Mary. I'll be sure to let her know what you said. I will certainly work as hard as I can. Awesome, you'll be a RN very soon, Congrats! Were you able to transfer any of the courses you took at Prism. I actually want to return to school to become a RN as well. How did that work? Did you take a challenge course?
No bercause Prism is a tech school my credits didn't transfer.I was attending Del Tech community college prior so I had some prereqs,(I live in Delaware)I also tested out of some using clep tests, most bridge prpograms accept ur Lpn license for 1year nursing classes.I did Excelsior Bcause I didn't want to travel to class,I work a lot and I don't have a lot of time on my hands.when do u start? Just tell Mary the one who lived in Delaware shell remem$ber
Alright, I'll be sure to tell Mary. I start in August.
