what are the prereq's at gordon like??? is it a good school to start out at or do you easily lose your focus there??? are there teacher's any good??? please help i need to know quick....:uhoh3:

as with any college it depends on who you take and what you take... i know it's not the answer you want to hear. but you can go to www.ratemyprofessors.com this will give you a good clue as to what other students think about their professors.

best of luck to you

honestly, i thought the pre-reqs at Gordon were a joke. The professors there spoon feed their students. It will not prepare you for what the nursing program is like. I can guarantee that.

A&P tests consisted of matching questions in groups of five. if you didn't know one, you could figure it out by figuring out what the first four were.

There were a few good professors that actually taught and gave thought-provoking assignments, but they were far and few between.

In any case, study hard--the program is extremely competitive nowadays!

Any other opinions?

I graduated from gordon in 2005. I agree that most of the pre-req are a joke but something you have to do to get where your going. A&P, micro are not that bad, depends on who the professor is.

Frankly I don't believe any college or university prepares you for nursing school. Nobody told me that it wouldnt be a good idea to binge and purge the information. They certainly werent testing me they way they do in nursing school either.

I graduated from Gordon College School of Nursing in 2006. My sister is currently going there and taking her pre req's for nursing and isnt having any problems. It just depends on the professor, it's also up to you in regards to how you study and remember the information b/c you'll need some of it in nursing school when they start breaking down the diseases and it's processes and treatments.
