Premiere International College (PIC)

Published

Hello, has anyone attended or heard of Premier International College in Florida? If so, can you tell me your experience? I'm from California so I just want to make sure that this school is legitimate. It sounds similar to International College of Health Sciences. I called Premier and they said that it's a 2 year online ASN program, less than 2 years if pre-reqs are completed prior to admission. Clinicals are in-person at the end of each term; 10 days, 12 hours each shift.

Im thinking of starting PIC I already have my LPN license and completed all my prerequisite how long will it take to complete the RN and do they have FAFSA and federal student Loans??And how are clinicals done any incite in the whole program will be appreciated.Thank You I received a call from them that theyve get the approval from New York so students wouldnt have a problem transfering their license

It depends on how many of your prerequisites they take.  Everyone has to take Microbiology even if you have already taken it. For me with the prerequisites they accepted it will take me a year and a half to complete the program. Your best bet is to send in your transcripts and see what prerequisites they will give you credit for as it is different for everyone. They do take federal loans and grants but you will likely still pay a little bit out of pocket. Overall it's still cheaper then some other programs I've looked into. As far as clinicals you have to be available to travel to Florida 10 days per quarter.  My cohort went in June and it was fine one location is a hospital and one was a SNF.  Hope this helps !

The days we travel down there to Florida will we be doing class work and going to clinicals or just clinicals alone?

Last time we still had online lecture schedule and assignments due while we were at clincials.

Please do you know of any student that completed the school and about to take the NCLEX?Because in NY because of what went on with the Florida schools they are very strict

I'm doing well. Currently in med surg 1 and passing the class.  All classes are online and clinicals are in person once a quarter. I was scared too,but I didn't get into my local program and didn't want to wait since it's lottery with no guarantees. Online isn't for everyone as well as you are disclipined and stay on top of everything you will do fine.

@Lavender Love That sounds very promising for me too. I am also in the same situation as you and I honestly don't want to be waiting. How much is your total tuition? Does it come with the books and uniform?

are you already a LVN? I am thinking way ahead, I enroll in the LVN program this coming Spring near me. And after that, I want to do PIC

Yes I am already an LVN. Tuition is different for everyone because of financial aid.  I recommended talking to someone at the school to get a quote.

All classses start at 3 PM EST. No dress code but you can't be in PJs or anything that looks obviously like PJs. You have to be on cameras at all times with a room alone and sitting upright at a desk or table . You can not have any virtual backgrounds. They give a 10 minute break every hour. Be prepared for them to Spring stuff on you last minute. Good luck !

Hi! Are you on teams for the online lectures 3-4 days per week throughout each semester?

Hello everyone,

if you're a California applicant please do your research. Like everyone else any school that is online with no waitlist seems perfect . I have contacted the school multiple times to make sure their program will be compatible with CA requirements , each time I was told there are plenty of California students in the program .Earlier this week I spoke with the BON regarding Licensure by endorsement and was told to be endorsed California education requirements still apply.  I reached out to the school sent them all the proof and links. I had my meeting with the school and finally got a straight answer . The program is only set to meet Florida license requirements, any out of state student must complete their state requirements on their own. The school does not offer speech , which is a requirement for CA also potential students need to make sure the clinical hours meet requirements. Most hybrid programs that are available meet California requirements because they know the majority of their students live there . This can still be an opportunity for someone , please just make sure that you have everything you need to get your license where you live !

Can you be more specific. There is no hybrid nursing program in california. So your last sentence confused me. Are you trying to say, we would need to take speech since PIC doesnt have speech in their program
