Premiere International College (PIC)

Published

Hello, has anyone attended or heard of Premier International College in Florida? If so, can you tell me your experience? I'm from California so I just want to make sure that this school is legitimate. It sounds similar to International College of Health Sciences. I called Premier and they said that it's a 2 year online ASN program, less than 2 years if pre-reqs are completed prior to admission. Clinicals are in-person at the end of each term; 10 days, 12 hours each shift.

Is anyone currently attending premium international college in Florida?

There is no official bridge program but you get credit for classes already taken. It will shorten your time if have prerequisites done.

They have been open since 2009 and have active accreditation. They are on the FAFSA and take federal loans so they are legit . I did a lot of research prior to signing up. However, everything is at your own risk.  So far I haven't had any major issues.

How is your experience been at PIC so far? I am interested in the program but was only able to find a few reviews that weren't the greatest. How's the work load? Are the professors helpful? How have clinicals been? Etc. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

So far my experience hasn't been too bad. Bad reviews are typical for online programs because the school is teaching you to how to pass the NCLEX not necessarily how to be a nurse. The teachers are nice so far  but you really have to do alot of self teaching in the core nursing classes. It's helpful if you have medical background already. The teachers are nice so far  and helpful .They offer tutoring if are struggling or drop below 75%.  There is a lot of busy work however it it carry's your grade so you have to do all the assignments. I haven't done clinicals yet I can update in a few weeks after we go.  All and all so far it's been fine. Just know they can be kind of last minute about things and then make it mandatory and urgent.  They can also be a little unorganized.  I think if you are self motivated and don't feed into the BS that happens it's doable.

thanks so much for the insight! as far as the online setting, are they pretty strict about the camera being on at all times? I have a busy 2 year old, who's super attached which is why I'm asking.

Yes they are super strict about having the camera on at all times. You are required to be active, on camera, and participate during class time. No one can be in the room with you at all. So it would be best if you have someone to watch your baby during class time.

Do anyone plan on going from the state of Georgia?
