I graduate with my BSN in 6 weeks (May 19th) and I start work on a telemetry unit on July 7th... I'm doing a 3 month orientation and then start working full time nights 12 hr shifts...
I'm nervous (and excited) about doing telemetry/med-surg, nervous about nights, nervous about being fatigued and nauseated while pregnant... but DH and I are desperate for a baby!!!
Anyone else have any experience on being pregnant when you show up for work? What was it like, fatigue and symptoms-wise when it came to nursing?
I'm not preggers yet, but it's 4 long months before I start my first job...
Just looking for some words of wisdom or some first hand experience...
Another update: I miscarried the baby at 9 weeks due to a chromosomal abnormality We are devastated.
I've started my new job and it's exciting but completely overwhelming. The miscarriage was a month ago and DH and I are going to start trying again soon.
The baby was a girl (the doctor did a pathology report on the fetus).
I was so tired during that pregnancy that I am a bit worried about how I'll handle working during the first trimester when I get pregnant again....

Just wanted to update anyone who may be interested: DH and I got pregnant on the first try of "not preventing pregnancy but not actively TTC" :heartbeat
So I'm 7 weeks prego now and will be into my 4th month when I start orientation at my new job. My basic plan is to not mention it until my belly becomes more obvious, then let the nurse manager know that I will be coming back to work 2 months after giving birth...
I'm thoroughly nauseated and fatigued right now but still SOOOO HAPPY!!! I love babies!!!!!!
