Next Spring I will take my last pre-req for the ADN programs that are near me. I was wondering if you could apply while taking a pre-req. The class ends late May, while the applications are due in March.
Some of the cc's I will be applying to: Cerritos, Cypress, LBCC.
If anyone has any information, that would be great!

Just check with the program that you will be applying to. They will either have it on their website or you can call and ask. I'm taking my prerequisites this year at Rogers State University in Oklahoma. They have it posted that the application is due February 1st, but they say that all prerequisites must be completed by the end of the spring semester.

Definitely check with the school!! The nursing school I'm applying to allows you to still be taking some of your pre req's when you apply. However, it does depend on which pre req it is. For instance, I had to have completed A&P 1 and 2 and English Comp. 1 to apply.
Hope this helps :)

Each school is different. I was placed on the alternate list the first time I applied because I still had pre reqs to complete. Your chances are probably better for acceptance if your pre reqs are all done and your science grades can be viewed, but ya never know unless you try! If they will take applications without all your pre reqs being done, I'd say do it! I feel fortunate though that I have all pre reqs and all co reqs completed before starting nursing school next month, because I will need all the focus I can I get!

depends on the school....I am applying to 3 schools.....1 of which you can apply before completing the prereqs (they award the lowest amount of points for the unfinished classes)

Can't speak for Cerritos/Cypress/Long Beach, but I've been to the information sessions for Chaffey & RCC. In both cases, (a) you can apply with certain prereqs in progress, and (b) in both cases it was presented as being a waste of time, since one of the selection criteria is whether you've completed the prereqs - incomplete prereqs essentially moves you to the bottom of the list. Your call, but I'd get contact info for all three schools & ask 'em.
