Most RN programs allow only 2 enrollments in your natural science courses and 2 F,D,W grades. My A+P 1 expires in spring 2016. I enrolled in 2004, but withdrew because of a death in my family. I re-enrolled in Winter 2006 (trimesters) and passed with a B. If I need to re-take the class after it expires in 2016 because I haven't made it into a program will I be ineligible for admission into a program since I technically have taken the class three times at that point? Or does the re-take because of expiration not count towards the enrollment limit because I already took and passed the class with a B in 2006?

I've retaken courses multiple times over expiration dates and have not had to deal with this yet. It does not make sense that they would hold it against you the same way as if you had failed more than once. I would seek another program if this was the case. Personally, I find it ludicrous that someone is repeating the same courses over and over due to time expiration issues. But then, the schools are raking in the money each time.

I'm being forced to re-take 8 classes due to "expired" credits (Has the human body changed in the last 20 years???)
At my school, I was told that since I'm re-taking the course due to the age of my previous credits, I was still eligible to re-take the courses a 2nd time, if necessary. Hopefully, I won't have to exercise this option, since I made A's in all my pre-reqs way back when.
I agree with Caliotter3, the schools are raking in the $$ off of our "expired" credits. I can see if there have been dramatic changes in a field, but most of the changes are so minor, a refresher would suffice.

I have taken A+P multiple times and I have received all of the grades above since the late 90's. I made it into RN bridge program after all. All science classes do have a 5 year limit where i'm from. Also what helped was I went beyond talking to the ad visor and I spoke with the person that actually selects each individual for the nursing program. She shaved off a year of classes the advisor tried to get me to take and she also told me if you would have spoken with me a year ago you would have gotten into the program a long time ago.

what if the expired credits were failing grades or if you do academic fresh start?
