Pre req. english class

I am thinking of retaking english class again even though i passed with a C. I want a high GPA considering that i started off so bad and i want to do better.. My question is, if i take an online class and decide to reuse the essays i used the past semester, is that cheating?? It will be for the same college, wiill another professor know? or is it a bad idea ?

I would try it. But keep in mind that this is definitely dishonest. We can sit here and debate the meaning of plagiarism, but professors don't like it when you coast through their courses without doing any work. Hopefully they don't find out (I don't see how they would).

That Guy - I agree with you. Turning the exact same paper in would not only be lazy, but stoopid!

According to my university's plagiarism policy, turning in a previous paper, ie. passing it off as new - is in fact plagiarism.

It is considered plagiarism in my school. I would not risk my grade, let alone expulsion to see if I could pull it off.

At my school, it is also considered plagiarism. You could always ask your instructor with the intentions of significant improvements and perhaps some changes that would make it almost "new".
