Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I know everyone learns differently, I'm just curious as to what the majority thinks is harder.

Anatomy & Physiology 1

Microbiology

Thanks in advance!

Well, I don't know if I would be one to answer this since I haven't taken Microbiology yet but I have taken AP1 and made an A in it without much effort. I had a really good professor and I think that makes all the difference in the world! Just my 2 cents worth! Hope this helps!

A&P seemed a bit more hard to me because there seemed to be a bit more information.

Good luck.

I personally thought A&P was harder.

I found Micro to be more of a review of cell bio and patho and so I didn't need to put in much time. A&P, while alot more doable than I initially thought they'd be, still required alot of memorization. Now if you'd asked about Chemistry. . .

My anatomy and physiology were not the same class... but I would say both classes were harder than micro. Either way get your note cards out and make flash cards because it is a TON of memorizing. The books that I really liked were the Made Incredibly Easy books... so check those out, they really put things in simple terms!

A&P was hard but in my opinion Micro was the hardest class you will ever take. Now, having said that it also depends on your teacher....

I think A&P was harder - but it could be because a lot of micro (it seemed anyway) was a repeat of A&P or chem. I mean, there was a lot of new information to learn in micro, but it I'd say about 25% of it was repeat. I bet if I'd taken Micro before A&P then it would have been fairly even...

It all depends on the teacher and your learning style...

I sailed through Micro. A&P 1 on the other hand was horrible. I never worked my a** of so hard for a C in my life. I'm good at learning and critical thinking, but I'm terrible at just straight memorization. It was one of the happiest days of my life as a nursing student when we finished the $^&% bones! :chuckle So, if you're good at memorization A&P shouldn't be too bad. I think it also depends on how the class is set up. My A&P was only one (long) night a week. It was as though all the information was dumped on us and there wasn't another class session to follow-up. Just my :twocents: .

I too made it through A&P 1 with a 98% but micro that was another story. ruined my 4.0 I hated that class.

I took A&P I and Micro at the same time and made an A in both. I thought Micro was harder, but very interesting. I loved the lab.

Anatomy and physiology were separate classes. I think anatomy was the hardest because it was the first science class I took when I went back to school at 38 plus the prof was really good but really hard. I loved dissection theatre.

I loved micro - after anatomy and physiology it was easier than I had imagined although not easy. Still lots of work.
