Hey congrats to everyone that was accepted for the spring 2018 Nursing program at wcccd, I myself am finishing up pre reqs to to apply for 2018 fall. Since you all have gotten accepted, I figuredit would be kind of a good idea to ask for pointers on the do's and don'ts. Currently I have the following as my grades: Bio 155- B

Bio240- B

English1- B

Bio250- A

Micro- ?

Psych-?

I recently took an EMT course and will take the hesi in march, please "Teach me your ways", what should I study for the hesi? and if I pass the remaining courses does it look promising for me.

Well my hesi studying all came from YouTube crash course for a&p and I had a cliff notes a&p book that helped me a lot I took plenty of notes and went over every body system one by one I didn't study for reading but for math I used the pocket prep hesi app on my phone and it was pretty much basic math like adding multiplying etc fraction proportions and a couple story problems I had one conversion and one military time question that was really it I had to really study hard for a&p because some questions on the test were stuff that could've easily been missed or forgotten

Good luck to you!

I wonder do we have a nursing student orientation prior to us starting the program?? I saw a couple other students saying they had orientations before school started back

Yea we do Dec 8th... but it's so much we have to do in this little time frame that we have... I received my paper in the mail Saturday that I have to pick up a packet by Monday Nov 20th... but besides that I am excited about orientation!

I use quizlet to study A&P and the hesi prep book for math and reading I was confident in myself... but for the most part long as you pass the hesi your in!!!
