Hi, I am apply for the Kiamichi Technology Center lpn in program. I was just hoping maybe someone else was also applying and take this journey together. I take my Hesi a2 entrance exam March 14th!

You from Poteau? I am waiting to find out the results of CASC before I decide on applying to Kiamichi.

Nope, I actually live in Texas, but applying for he school in Hugo. I live just right over the red River.

I am applying at Hugo also. Do you know what dates there are to take the Hesi A2?

HI, Texnurse, I'm not sure of the test dates. I got mine when I turned my application in. The lady gave me a recepit, told me to bring it on the test date witha form of Id, and to arrive 15-30 mins before the test time. Which is at 8:30 am for me on March 14th. I was also told from a friend that is also applying for the program that the first ones to test are the firsts ones that get a interview first. She was told when she called that you will get a call a week to two weeks after the test ( if you pass, it with 90% on both parts) to tell you about your Interview date and time. Then, after your interview, you wait a week, maybe two weeks to see if you were accepted. I would be gald to talk to you and get to know you, maybe we know each other. I know a couple thats in the program now.

Okay, thank you for your help! (: I plan on turning in my application either tomorrow or Thursday. I am nervous about the interview!! Do you know how many people apply for the Hugo program? Also, do you know the point system or how difficult it is to get accepted? I don't think I know anyone that is in the program right now, but it would be terrific to get to know you! It's nice to know someone else who is applying! (:

HI, Texnurse, thanks for the friend invite. Yes, it's great that we have came together on here. Because to have a friend go through this with you, because you havea person that is going through the same thing your going through, they know how you feel. The exicitment, nervousness, and being plain terrified at this time. Umm... I don't know personally how many people are applying , I just know that there are only 20 seats, and one of those seats are mine! Postive thinking! I'm not sure about point ystem, I think I read somewhere that the referance letters are 5 points a peace, test scores and the those awful questions are worth somuch. Then interview. Not sure just what I'm thinking. I dont know about you, but out of everyone I know including 5-6 people are applying for this school, so yes, i would treat this school like any other program, very competeive. I'll talk to some of the girls that are in the program now at Hugo, and I'll see how hard it is to get accepted.

I figured it was very competitive, but hopefully I still get in... I am mainly worried because I have no former experience in a medical field or any volunteer experience. I don't know how others compare, but hopefully I still have a shot. Have you heard anything about how difficult the entrance test is?

I have a little experience in the medical field. I have voulunteer at the hospital when I was 13 until I was 16. I have 270 hours of voulnteer work the houspital in a medical enviroment. I also have worked at a nursing home, for about year only. Doing laundry and housekeeping. i loved interacting with the people and getting to know them. I also have a friend that is applying and she is a CNA. That scarys me, very much, so I'm taking this like my life depended on it, that its a job that I really want.

I havea couple of study guides that I got from some where on here. I can email them to you. [email protected] is my email address. Everyone I have talk to says that the entrance test is fairly easy. Math and reading only
