My commute to school is between 30-45 minutes depending on traffic and weather. I have no clue what it will be once I actually get into Nursing School and I am going to Clinicals.

I am one lucky person. I could walk if I wanted to. I am just 5 minutes away.

I am not in a nursing program yet; just taking my pre-req's but my commute is awful. On Mondays and Wednesday I drive 25 minutes (that is going a little over the speed to and from class. On Tuesday and Thursday I drive 1 1/2 hours to and from class. We have one University in our town and it is a private one so it is really expensive and does not offer classes at night either. I work about 24 hours a week.

Yikes. My commute is about 35-40min. now, except I pick up a friend, so it takes me much longer. Depending on where I decide to go this fall it will be about 50-60min. I hope to record some of the lectures and listen to them in the car.

I am hoping to get into nursing school in the fall, and depending on where I get in or go it will be anywhere from about 35 minutes to an hour commute. That is on a good day though, so if we get hit with snow then that can change considerably. Not sure yet how far clinicals will be, that could tack on a good amount of time as well.

I attended LVN school in Southern California in 2004 and 2005. My commute was 190 miles daily (round trip), and I eventually put 53,000 miles on my poor vehicle during that year of LVN school. The commute was 95 miles one-way, five days per week. Overall, I would say it was worth it.

I now attend classes at a local community college in Texas. My commute is 9 miles one-way.

I also think it is well worth it. At the end of all this we can buy a brand new car!

Roughly 10 miles. Speed limit in my town is average of 55mph but people drive less than half of that so it drags out to a half hour trip one way.

It takes me about an hour to get to school each day. It takes me about 10-15 mins to walk to the train station and then about 30-45 mins on the train. I use the time on the train to study for class. My hubby picks me up from school and it takes us about 15-20 mins to get home.

Now, StlRn2b, I KNOW you weren't DRIVING while using those notecards, were you?!?! I hope you're not doing that in CA traffic these days!!

Oh yes I did! But only when there was no traffic, and my notecards were not long-winded. Only a few words. Study time was hard to come by!
