Entrance Exam (hesi) TX

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Can anyone give me insight on this ? I got the study guide .. Supposedly we only have to take the reading and math.

I've got a question on the calculator for the Hesi exam. I understand that we can't bring our own calculator, but that one is provided with the Hesi software. This may sound stupid, but does it have a "a-b/c" key? Anyone remember? A friend of mine took it awhile back, and she said they weren't allowed to use scratch paper, just the calculator. It would make it alot easier if it had that key on it. Thanks.

When I took the HESI we used the calculator on the computer and we were allowed scrap paper that was supplied to us during the exam. I took my HESI at Kingwood college.

I don't think that the a-b/c key is going to help you in your nursing career, and from what I remember when taking the Hesi exit exam about 4 years ago, it was just a regular pop up calculator.... No fancy keys. Just like the calculator you will be using to take the board exams. Good luck!

im looking for the hesi exam A2 if anybody have it let me know.

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to this site, but I was just letting you guys know that I am taking the HESI entrance test on Saturday[June 21] at HCC. I am SO nervous! Does anyone have any pointers on the math and AP part of the test and what do these two tests consist mostly of?

Also, is there a website that I can go to for some quick studying?

If you're taking the same HESI I had to take in VA...the math portion includes ratios, fractions - lots of IMPROPER FRACTIONS, percentages, decimals, army time, conversions (VOLUME), and roman numerals...Not all of the math questions were multiple choice...some were fill-ins...

The reading comprehension section is easier than the math because you read the section and answer the questions based on the selection...There are like 5 different selections...Make sure you read them atleast twice each!

Im surprised you dont have to take the vocabulary section or grammar section...

The calculator for the HESI is the exact same calculator you use for your computer...go to accessories....

I do have to take the vocabulary and grammar section also, but I was SO concerned about the math and A&P part. Those aren't necessarily my strong areas. Thank you so much for the info!

Hello, has anyone taken the HESI pre nursing entrance exam at Mt. San Antonio College?

Specializes in ICU.

Some of you are worrying about the HESI way more than you should be. Sure it is an important test, however, it test you on the knowledge that you already know. You can't really 'study' for it. And you definatly shouldn't be trying to find the questions and answers. The colleges give you those tests because they are in the format of the state exam and they are preparing you for that test.

ALmost all of you will pass it. I have taken several of them. Granted it has been 7 years ago,,, once you take the first one, you will know how to take the second, third and so on. Good luck to you all!

HI! I am planning to take the HESI exam this december actually the first week at MT. SAC. i am trying to get more information about the exam. i was wondering if it was similar to the TEAS exam? I only have about 2 wks to prepare and feeling nervous. do u know where i could buy the book? i did a seach on hesi exam and noticed that the name is the company based in texas. the one im looking for is the HESI nursing entrance . . .

GOOD LUCK =]

If anyone could share some insight to the studying or the exam that would be great
