Can You Apply for Spring at CSU's?

Hi there, I am in my first semester of college and a pre nursing major (as you may have guessed.) I am planning on applying to about ten different CSUs: SFSU, SJSU, CSUB, CSUEB, Sonoma, Chico Sac, and Humboldt to name a few :) Because I took several college courses in high school as well as passed a couple AP exams, I am going to be finished with my GE and nursing prereqs by fall 2010. This is of course considering I can GET IN to the classes I need. My question is: Is it possible to apply directly to spring programs? I am under the impression that at SFSU, you apply for the year (ex, 2010/2011) and they tell you whether you start spring or fall semester. I am not sure if this is true or if it applies to all CSUs. Any help would be appreciated! TIA

I hope you passed the AP exams for statistics, psychology, Enlgish, and chemistry. Those are the APs that I think can count for nursing prereqs while the others go to GE. It is possible to aaply to spring semester CSUs but note, this might change due to budget cuts...

I am one of the few who applied to some spring schools during the budget cut fiasco... This might remain the same for you, or it might change.

Thanks for your response :) I passed Government and English AP exams. Others weren't offered at my school =/ Those helped with my GE though. I took psych at the JC in high school along with a bunch of other random classes that ended up counting towards my humanities segment so I came into college with that area completed as well as most of my behavioral segment-just need one more course there. So basically, I am finishing my GE this semester and just working on my nursing prereqs these coming semesters.

Thanks for answering my question I hope I can still apply for Spring in 2011! That would be ideal

Thanks for your interest in our nursing program.

All of the CSU's are different in terms of their requirements and application timelines. At CSUEB we only accept a new cohort of Nursing students in the Fall. The requirements for the Fall 2010 admission are at http://www.sci.csueastbay.edu/nursing/fall2010admission.html.
