Hi
I'm a 34 year old mother of 1. I have worked as a veterinary technician for the past 9 1/2 years. I am currently in the process of getting classes out of the way with plans to apply for nursing school in March 2015. I wanted to just say hi to everyone.

Hi there! Welcome to AN! You CAN do this! Just go into it knowing you'll have to dedicate A LOT of time to studying and schedule juggling. You'll need to plan extensively to have back ups to your back ups as far as babysitters and make sure you a have strong support system. 2-3 years in a nursing program will go by fast and will be worth the time and dedication for a fulfilling career.
I am 42 with 3 kids. I am so excited that I am finally starting my journey to my nursing career, it is something that I have been wanting for many many years now, but life happened, along with several unforeseen circumstances but now I am determined and ready to get this show on the road! I'm in CNA training right now, with plans to work as a CNA now (and through nursing school), and work on my prereqs in a few months and hopefully apply to WGU in 2016.
Good luck to you!
