I've had a similar problem. They want medical assistants, etc to answer phones. So I've had no luck getting into anything medical. I once applied to pretty much manage data & help others with excel in a physical rehab center but didn't get the job. It's disheartening! BUT... I made a post more in depth yesterday about how I'm applying to volunteer at the hospital. Hopefully this gets me an easy in & I get get an actual job there. It should help you get into the program you want as well.

Why not get your CNA? I work nights in assisted living with a memory care unit and basically get paid to study . It's helped my comfort level tremendously, as I'm learning to deal with gross sights/smells, different resident personalities and such.

yes I am also in South Jersey-what school are you going to? I'm going to BCC doing my pre-reqs this summer, fall and finishing this spring. Thr job I am in now is no way medical related and I would like to get into something.
Where is a good place to become a CNA?
