Pre-Entrance Nursing Exam

I will be taking the pre-entrance exam in June 2007 and am looking for suggestions. I recently bought the RN Pre-Entrance Exam book. I have been out of school for so long so it's hard to jump back in. Looking for pointers.

this web site has examples of what is said to be on the net test. if for some reason it doesn't work. click on forums , then nursing discussions by geographical area for texas. one of the discussions is net test by jaymom2b it is very helpful.

it was more difficult then i thought. They only allow less then one minute for each question. The vocabulary words were the toughest. I'm almost 40 and I haven't heard of some of those words.

I take the pre-rn entrance exam in November. I am so nervous. I also purchased the book and found it to be very helpful. Good luck to all!!

I took the PAX this past Tuesday (the 19th) for the third time!!! It is hard for sure and I agree...I am 30 and I do not know a lot of these words!!!! And last time, that is what brought my score WAY down!!!

The NLN Pre-Entrance Exam Study Guide is your best bet...JMO. Check out ebay...you may be able to get a used one.

I got my scores back today...got an 85% and a Composite Score of 124. I am praying this will be high enough to get into the program at my school (I know someone with an 88% got in for fall)...it is much better than what I got last time because I scored much better on the vocab part.

Hope you did well, and I have to say, once you take it once, you kind of know what to expect from it. Vocab is a huge part I needed to brush up on, so this kind of gives you an idea of what you need to work on more, if anything!
