Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

Congratulations Hannah D! I'm unsure about where you can get your stuff done cause I live in Dallas, bu5 if you've completed all 3 series of Hep B then you don't need the titer.

Congrats you @Jenniferguevara and everyone else. I was also wondering; has everyone got their financial aid figured out. I faxed all my documents, but can't seem to get in touch with a financial aid counselor. Has anyone already received their award and loans for pv. I really want to have everything done before orientation next Wednesday. Just curious on how far everyone else is in the process for financial aid.

Hi HannahD. I uploaded my financial aid documents on the 23rd thru the PV portal. They received them but they're being processed. I think it takes up to three weeks for them to finish processing.

They already sent my the award letter, but every time I log in on panther tracks does not say anything of how much they gave me. I have been called like crazy, but nobody returns my call.. I am tired of calling them, I am going to wait until orientation.

I did not know you could upload the documents. Wish I would have known because I faxed all of mine today, and it cost me a fortune. I just wanted everything to be good by orientation on the 4th because I want to just register for my classes, and not have to wait, and talk to a counselor. I called and asked someone today if not having my financial aid completely done will prevent me from being able to register, but I wasn't given a direct answer since she said she's technically just the receptionist for the office. However, that's what is sounded like in the orientation confirmation e-mail. Does anybody know for sure?

I don't think financial aid is required for you to register for class. I mean.. if you don't have financial aid then you'll just have to pay out of pocket right? I don't even know if mine will be done with before orientation since it says it may take up to 3 weeks to be processed.

I'm more concerned about the placement test. Since we're all TSI complete in order to get into the program, I'm assuming we're exempt from taking it?
