Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

Guys, I was told something different about the Hep B titer. I called today to make sure before I go out to get it. I told the lady my exact situation: I completed the series as a child, in 1998. I asked her if I'm required to get it now and she told me NO. I forgot her name, but my call was transfer to her when I called the CON.

:( Oh god!! I am not immune to varicella and i could not get booster dose cuz i just got flu shot so i have to wait atleast 28-30 days.

Has anyone gone through same situation?

Did not know that you cannot get the flu and varicella shot at the same time. I got my varicella shot yesterday because I am not immune to varicella either, but call the person in charge because you can put a note whenever you turn your package in.

@Lavenda I have the same problem. I will go ahead and submit my package. I will wait out the whole month before taking it. I tried contacting the con office but the lady said I should call some other lady (the clinical coordinator), I tried calling her but to no avail. Idk what to do. I have completed everything else. When sending everything do you need to include the result of the titre? Or just good by the doctor writing the results and signing it off??

@orificenal1 same problem here, was thinking of submitting all paperworks today so that i could also ask about that but could not make it today. I live nearby so i'll go in person to submit and see what they say on Monday!!

@moneca so did you get a note exempting you from the flu shot? Idk if I should take the varicella shot even though the package says only titer
