Prairie View Nursing Fall 2014

Published

Anyone out there applying to Prairie View for entrance in the Fall 2014 semester?! The deadline is soon approaching! How far along are you in the application process? Feel free to post any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. Good luck to all!

Lopez7984 I'm getting my associates in May but they said I needed to have it before the deadline on March 1st. I got accepted to TWU but I was just curious if anyone else had that problem. I was pretty upset because I spent so much money and time on my PV application because they require more documents than the other school. Best of luck to you girl! I hope you get in :]

I applied to PVAMU but admissions counselor emailed me back and told me I was ineligible because my TSI scores for math were too low and I took a developmental math course. Did anyone else have this problem?

I went through that hell for a whole day. Took remedial classes and college algebra etc and I made a 90 on the math portion of the hesi and still it wasn't good enough. So I took the TSI exam and oh my goodness I did not score into college algebra. That test was brutal. Anyway, I had more than enough credits to get my associates so I made a few emails and got my associates! I was so afraid that I was wasting my money applying to PV though. Until the degree posted. :)

I'm sorry it didn't turn out so well for you though. :( PV is very particular.

No..I haven't heard from them since I called them for my social. . Did they give you any further explanations?? I figured we should know by now. . But nothing. . Please keep me posted. .:)

Congratulations! Good luck!

I'm sure you'll know soon. I just think I found out so early bc students at main campus attend a white coat ceremony in April

OMG!! Congratulations Abaker6!!!! Marilore, no I kinda wanted to ask but they were like, ok thankyou bye, lol! The only thing she said was that we would know by mid April, I guess because we are transfers, they first look at their current students and then transfers, at least thats what I think. I also applied at lonestar for lvn and have heard nothing from them so lets keep our hope and keep patient :)

The TSI test is so dumb. I took precal my senior year and had to take remedial in college because of that test. They should get rid of it asap! Yeah idk why TSI mattered for PV. Have you heard back from any other nursing programs?

Yes, I have! :D I got an interview invitation for UTMB in galveston. So I'm currently waiting to hear back from them on that! (I think the interview went well!)

And I got accepted to UTHSC as well. :)

I don't think I will be accepted to PVAMU based on classes I am currently taking, but even if I do get in, I will decline. It was my back up school, but I didn't think it would be so damn hard to get into! Geeze! Hah. Anyway, good luck. Maybe you guys should try elsewhere.

But definitely NOT an LVN program!!! (Totally not worth it. You have to go back and get your RN anyway, so why waste your time?)
