Thankyou Sarahnade for the tip about lvn, I'm just desperate to get into any program I guess lol. I have a c on my microbiology class and because its soo low I decided not to apply anywhere else. If I don't get into pvamu for the fall I will take micro in the summer and apply to different schools with at least a b. I don't want to, and I hope I don't have to b/c thats time and money but I guess if I have to then I will.

well sarahnade according to pvamu support was 3.30 and cumulative was 3.48 Hesi overall score was 86.

I sort of did but I thought it'd be easier to get into pvamu and I also thought UTHSC required another class but I don't know. What test do you have to take for uthsc?

Sarahnade you need a 3.0 on the science prereqs and microbiology brings me below 3.0 therefore I can't even apply, if I don't get accepted to pvamu I will take microb in the summer and then I would apply to more schools. Pvamu was the only school that accepts my c, that is if I get in lol. Have a nice day :)

Actually, UTHSC has less requirements. You don't have to take this stupid intro to computers class. Anyway, no, they don't require any extra classes. It might be easier to get into. Maybe you should apply to both. And maybe retake the HESI? Just to boost your score a little more. I have two Fs on my transcript, but they weren't prerequisites so they didn't matter. My point in saying that is I have a higher gpa with uth than I have with any other school because uth only counts the necessary classes. And all that to say, It might be to your advantage. Because I have a lower gpa with pva. My "support gpa"/science gpa everywhere else is a 4.0 but with pva it's a 3.4 or something because they count psych and sociology. Which I took years ago and made a C and a B in.

Anyway, I think you'd have a shot!! Shoot for the stars!

All I all, I support you! And if you don't get in, I say to hell with it, apply to more schools! it's kinda lame that we get wait listed just for not being done with prerequisites.

Well too bad for them. They missed out on getting to have this awesome nursing student. I'm just sad I wasted my money applying before I knew I'd be wait listed.

I hope you get in, I hear that people get acceptances to some schools on the day classes start. So maybe you should get the CPR certification out of the way etc. :) just in case.

I'm frustrated, I just got an email from lonestar college as an alternative, grrrrrr!!! I can't even get into the damn lvn program. Hmmmm I can only imagine what awaits from pvamu!!! :,,,(
