I am applying to PV for spring 2012. I notice that PV changed their deadline from September 1 to October 1. (I wonder why???) I turn in my transcripts last week. After my transcript was reviewed I was given a pre-nursing database with the following information:
-63 hours completed
-University GPA 3.18 (non-science course)
-Support Area GPA 3.53 (science course)
-Cumulative Department GPA 3.35
-HESI scores: Math 84, Reading 89, A&P 92, Grammer 92, and Critical Thinking 830.
Now, I have to wait patiently for a letter. I heard it takes up to 3-4 months.
If anybody else is applying for PV spring 2012 I would be more than glad to hear from you, and if you want, share your info with us.
(I am also applying at UT-Houston but I feel that my GPA is not high enough for their program.)
I just received my purple letter from PV. What exactly does this mean, it seems that some people have received their acceptance letter along with the purple letter? Im a little nervous. Any info would help thanks!!
Yeah, I think everyone does get the purple Letter... It just means you're one step closer to completing your final application. I haven't tried to sign in yet, so I can't answer that... I think you should try calling the schoool and talk to someone from admission.
Good luck everyone!!! Looks like PVAMU is out for me this time around. They want me to take Psychology over again since it's been 10yrs......that isn't going to happen. I'll graduate from UT Arlington next semester(Spring 2012) and then apply to a few Bacc2 programs for the Fall along with a few other traditional programs.

AH210= thanks. Yeah, i emailed them last week and somebody called me and told me the reason they havent processed my application was bc they were missing my militaty transcript.. I was thinking like.. Why didnt they email or call me? Bc i originally applied august.. Its october now... Gosh. So is the acceptance a letter or a packet? And whats the next step after being aceepted to pvamu? Do i need to do anything?
you were in the military? I was in the navy as a hospital corpsman. There's very few of us.
i think Oct 16 cz last year this time they sent out letter...With hope :)to us
sounds about right, I got my letter March 15th, so in a couple days you will find out. Please if you get accepted to PV, join our group PVAMU nursing students on FB.

The acceptance letter is to PV main campus not the university. You know you got accepted when they send you out a big orange packet, bc you have to accept admission to CON, so that means if you do accept you are in. Its almost here soon. Good Luck
