I am applying to PV for spring 2012. I notice that PV changed their deadline from September 1 to October 1. (I wonder why???) I turn in my transcripts last week. After my transcript was reviewed I was given a pre-nursing database with the following information:
-63 hours completed
-University GPA 3.18 (non-science course)
-Support Area GPA 3.53 (science course)
-Cumulative Department GPA 3.35
-HESI scores: Math 84, Reading 89, A&P 92, Grammer 92, and Critical Thinking 830.
Now, I have to wait patiently for a letter. I heard it takes up to 3-4 months.
If anybody else is applying for PV spring 2012 I would be more than glad to hear from you, and if you want, share your info with us.
(I am also applying at UT-Houston but I feel that my GPA is not high enough for their program.)
Let me know what you think!
Yeah, i got you navyvet. What if u repeated a class?? When u applied, did u repeat any of your class?
I emailed Mrs A on this and she said you cannot repeat more than two classes to make a grade of C or higher....meaning if you made a C the first time and repeat to get higher you are okay. They count the number of Ds n Fs.

Oh yes, i had two F's in a class and made A's. But if you have repeated them just to make a higher grade then no. I think someone said on a forum that they repeated three classes and didn't get in.

Also if ur taking a hard class like a science class, they said u are less of a chance bc people tend to fail those. Some people apply other places n not just PV. So I'm sure not all applicants get in at PV they go somewhere else
