Nursing Students Excelsior

Hello!

Can I get your input on excelsior practice exams?

On average what did you score on your practice exams and what was your actual grade on the final exam?

From what I am reading it looks like above 50s on the practice exam may indicate you are ready for the final - any thoughts?

I asked an Advisor and they suggest testing after getting anything above 80% on nursing practice exams.

Specializes in EMT since 92, Paramedic since 97, RN and PHRN 2021.

I just scheduled my 7th exam. I take one exam a week, have passed all of them the first time I have taken them, and have never, ever got above an80% on a practice exam.

Specializes in Intensive Care.

Honestly the highest score I've recieved, if my memory serves me right, was 56%. I JUST took practice exam A for Life Span 2 and ALMOST got a 50%. Since my test date is so close I've printed ALL the practice questions and reviewed EVERY rationale from Excelsior's practice exam. I generally score low on the practice exams and thank God, still pass! I am so ready to finish this. ALMOST at the finish line!

I took the practice exam for LS2 today and got a little under 50%. Now I haven't studied at all for it and will take practice exam B when I complete studying. Rather then gauge against the real exam I feel the practice exams are more to help me learn.

Do any of you live in Texas? Trying to start a study group. I still have to take Transitions, Repro, Life span 2 and 3.

Specializes in Mental and Chemical Health, Case MGMT.

I passed all of my exams on the first try except reproductive health. I got mostly "B" and "C" on the exams. I took Both FCCA during the summer and passed both. I am currently waiting to take my CPNE.

I'm just getting started so I've only taken 1 exam - Micro. My practice exam scores were in the low 50's and I passed the exam with an A.
