I am a postpartum RN with experience in wound care, RN supervisor and telemetry. I am interested in looking into reserve duty, as I feel that the military is something I should have done. I have my BSN and will eventually go for my master's to obtain my NP. I would enlist, but my husband is not in a position to move with his career. Is it possible to join the reserves as an obstetrics RN? Preferably in the air force. I would not be interested in flight nursing as I get sick on flights.

For the Army if you wanted to do obstetrics, you would need labor experience in addition to postpartum to start out with the AOC. But the Army (even reserves) is full right now...

You need clinical experience in the area you hope to practice prior to joining. They generally won't train you to do something new. So, you could go reserves as a med-surg nurse or possibly in wound care (if you had your WOCN certification).
Please remember that you're commissioning and not enlisting as a nurse in the military. Don't let anyone talk you into enlisting. The pay is way worse, and you won't be able to practice at the full level of your license.
