I just hit my 1 week mark after a interview with NYP Weill Cornell for a new graduate position. Does anyone know how long (roughly) after a interview with this organization would I hear back from someone? The person I met with made it sound like she will call me a few days later but it's been a week and now I'm getting nervous! I know there's no clear cut answer but maybe someone has had a similar situation as mine... Thanks :)
Never mind it took a week to hear back. I did not get the job :'( !!

Sorry you did not get the job? What was the application process like? I plan on applying for the May 2013 opening and wanted to know who to address a cover letter to.
The application process was pretty extensive actually. I first applied online, then within a few days I got a invitation to take a Battery Test which was about a hour long of behavior questions. A day after that I moved on to the next step which was a short phone interview. A few days after that I received a call from HR to schedule a in person interview. After my in person interview , I then had a interview with the patient care director of the unit I applied for.
For the cover letter, just address it to hiring professionals (that's what I did) bc there is no specific person since there's many people handling your application

Hi. I'm sorry you did not get the job. I recently had the phone interview (lasted maybe 4 minutes) and at the end she said she was forwarding my application and resume to the campus and I would hear back in 2-3 weeks. I did not however get the email confirmation I saw a few people got. Did you get one of these? Also, if you would not mind sharing, what kind of questions, especially situational/behavioral questions, did they ask you during the interview? Thanks for your help and don't give up! Keep applying!

And the interview questions were pretty much typical nursing interview questions ; challenges , how you went above and beyond for a pt, why nursing, why NYP? , why the specialty you applied for, a difficult patient , stuff like that....

I graduated from technical college in Los Angeles as medical asst (was not required to be certified in 1984) with a diploma, moved away 1986 to return 2013 (for my mother) what would one have to do to work in California as medical asst moving forward, i'm also CNA since 1997. last I checked 2009 study guide for med asst $135, sit for test $100, is there any truth to this? Is reciprosity excepted I couldn't get a definite answer from cali state board of nursing:banghead: Help anybody, somebody, please! Greatly appreciated!!.
