Post op bleeding is post op bleeding. Nothing special about post hysterectomy. Pallor, hypotension, tachycardia, fall in hct...the usual. If you wait to see if the belly gets distended with blood, you've waited too long. And don't ever do orthostatic blood pressures to try to diagnose post op bleeding.

I am prepping for an interview on a gyne-surg unit. I wanted to know what are the emergency nursing actions for a post hysterectomy hemorrhage and what medication are commonly used in this circumstance?
