well my final is on friday and im scared out of my mind. I currently have a 76 in the class. I need a 75 to pass. I just dont feel like its doable. I hate to think so negatively but its a possibility. Im currently in my third semester and I have been through hell and back. This semester just sucked. No support at all with the teachers. Another thing that sucks is that if I fail. Ill most likely have to wait a semester because of all the other people on the waiting lists. I want this semester to end but geez I just want to pass too!!!
So I guess Im asking what can I do to have a chance?
NCLEX ?'s I know that. I already study alot also.

Don't give up yet, I walked out of my Med/Surge final needing to get like an 84 or 87%. Can't remember which now it seems like eons ago. (it was half a semester ago. Anyway, I had convinced myself that I would be retaking the class and accepted it. I passed by the exact points needed!

What class is this that you are afraid that you will not pass? I know different instructors use different methods to teach and test. Have you found out what your professor(s) test on? Like, do they get most of the material from the book, lecture or power points? I suggest going through your notes and do the objectives that they give you (if your professors do that). I have quite a few reference/work books that have helped me through the past two years.
The great thing about nursing is you do not have to focus primarily on the assigned text in order to grasp the information given. You can branch out and use other texts and reference books. I suggest getting ahold of one of those and maybe fill in some of the gaps you have in the current subject.
For example, I use ATI, Saunders Comprehensive Review, Exam Cram, and the Test Success series.
I wish you the greatest luck and passing this class!

The current class im taking is Med Surg 2. 2 teachers test off powerpoints but still their questions are hard and my third one is a mess. She literally pulls off stuff from the internet to test and tests on her exp. ....we have all been having difficulty with this teacher.... I have review books too... ill be using them for sure.

I understand where you're coming from. I am only first semester and am getting 77% in both of my classes. I need 76% to pass. Failing is just not an option for me. I wish you the best of luck in passing!! You can do it!

I have been where you are at plenty of times...see if you can borrow the book TEST FOR SUCCESS from your instructors...i used this before each final just to remind me of the strategies and it helped!...you know this information!... i know you know Maslows, ABC's, but what i always did was right it down on the extra sheet of paper because while you are in the middle of testing sometimes its easy to forget.... YOU GOT THIS!...im loking forward to your announcement of passing third semseter!...
