Published

Hey everyone I am a high school student in Alberta Canada looking forward in joining grant Mac Ewan this winter because I heard its a good school. My question is it possible to take BA in psychology then transfer to nursing after and also what the major things I should focus that will make me get into the nursing program after. And also lastly is grant Mac Ewan a hard school to get into? Thanks looking forward for all your feedbacks

You could apply to nursing after but that's really going to take you much longer than it needs to. That will take at least 6 years. Why not just complete the prerequisites for the BSN and then apply? 4 years instead of 6?

Yea it is possible , you can do 2nd entry nursing after completing 2 years of postsencondary BUT it's very competitive and I honestly feel much more complicated than just getting the necessary prerequisites for the bscn program and going straight into the program .

If you happen to mess up within the two years and don't do well in the courses needed for 2nd entry it prolongs the process even more.

As someone who initially wanted to do the same thing I'd personally not waste my time in the psych program . I ended up just sucking it up and enrolling in the pre health science program which gained me entrance into nursing.

you could also just apply for practical nursing if you have the prerequisites and the bridge to uni nursing
