Possession Marijuana Charge wanting to go to Nursing School

Back in Aug 2011 I was driving a friends car, i didnt have my license an i was speeding so i was already going to.jail but he searched the car an found marijuana in the car i dont know why he searched he had no probable cause but any who its my first offense misdemeanor an when i went to court i took a drug test an passed but its still a misdemeanor. I am wanting to go to Lpn program here in oklahoma but i dont think they will even allow me into the program with that on my record. Any suggestions feel free to give them to me. I WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL SO BAD, BUT THIS IS HOLDING ME BACK!!!!!

I have a charge of possession on me that was dropped.... I can't tell you anything legal. cause I am in the same boat but I will tell you this. Don't let anything stand in your way if nursing is your dream. I for the most part stay positive. You can check with OK's BON. I have talked to AR BON. From what I have been told its a case by case decision. Most on the board do know that even nurses make mistakes. You can also check with a lawyer and see about getting the record expunged since it was your first offense. Sort out your options. I wish you the best and hope you go on to nursing school. I can tell you it was the best thing I have ever done. I am a new graduate waiting on my ATT to test. Good luck and god bless. :)
