Pomona Valley New Grad RN Residency 2020

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Hi! I’m starting a thread for Pomona Valley’s new grad program for status updates on applications and interviews! If one already exists please let me know ?

also from previous threads I’ve found it really helpful when people post: if/where they did their preceptorship and what unit they applied to when they’re posting to provide context, so if you feel comfortable, please do!

I applied to LDRP and did my preceptorship in an adult ICU.

OMG! I submitted my BRN application in mid April and they didn’t accept it until the beginning of July! Then I paid for my Pearson VUE that same day and got my ATT within 24 hrs. I took my NCLEX on July 27, I was lucky there was availability because I’m currently in AZ, so I took it here! But this all happened after I submitted my application so I’m just nervous because I just want to know if I got it or not!

It can't hurt to try to contact the recruiter!

Actually, does anyone know when the residency program starts? Or does it depend on the unit? Thanks!

Program starts Sept 1. Got a call from management yesterday and she stated that final offer phone calls will be made within the week/early next week.

I also have a friend who has a scheduled test date but they told her to try again for the next cohort in 2021.

So exciting! I am really hoping I get a call! Did you get an offer from management? Or did you call and ask them questions?

@sakiced she called me to verify the Dept of choice.

Oh OK I am really hoping I get a call back, I interviewed with them on July 16 so long ago!! I am hoping I still have a chance even if it was so long ago!

Do you happen to know their information?

I don’t, but I believe you can try calling the hospital, hitting “0”, requesting to contact HR, and then ask if you can be connected to the Nurse Recruiter.

allnurses has a section where resume questions may be asked: https://allnurses.com/resume-advice-c192/

Also, Nurse Beth may be able to shed some light on what is looked for in resumes: https://allnurses.com/career-advice-column-c218/

Anyone hear anything yet? Any job offers or call backs?
