Polk State College spring 2018 Nursing school

Published

Hello all,

My name is Chris and I wanted to start a forum for anyone thinking about applying for the Polk state college nursing program starting in spring 2018. I am applying with a 3.45 overall GPA and a 3.5 pre-req GPA if I am adding that correctly. I plan to take my Teas in late July and I will update you all on how that goes. I look forward to hearing from everyone. Good luck! :)

Congratulations ! NatAttack. See you in class.

has anyone joined the facebook group - PSC Nursing Class of Fall 2019 ? I am a little confused because there are conversations there that does not pertain to our class.

Yup I joined it but I don't see any conversations that don't pertain to our class. Are you sure your looking at the right group?

I guess so, the conversation was about Lakeland regional clinicals schedule in which I believe is not for us yet - right?

Yes that was me and it is for us. If you are priority registration Monday was the first day to register for nursing 1 and pick your clinical day/site.

That Facebook group is only for our class so anything that posts on that page should only pertain to us. Admin will remove posts if they do not. Winter Haven and Lake Whales are the two hospitals left for clinicals. Winter Haven has a Monday and Saturday clinical left I believe.

Signing my letter of acceptance today! I was #6 on the list btw.

See you in school guys.. good luck to all of us.;)

Anyone from Sebring or Highlands County and want to ride share? Our clinicals btw are Mondays at Florida Hospital.

Hello - I'm currently living in Kansas City, MO and plan to move to Tampa in January. Can anyone tell me what is on the TEAS test in Florida? Only reason I am asking is because in KC, we have to take Chem, Micro, Human Anatomy and Physiology to get into the program here. I'm wanting to know if Chemistry and Micro is on the TEAS test even though it's not a prereq course.

Hello,

I took the TEAS test a few weeks ago, it is Math, Science, Reading, and Language Usage. The science is mainly Anatomy and Physiology, but I would say there is a little mix of chemistry and other sciences mixed in. I am waiting to see if I got accepted for the Fall start! Good luck.

Yes pleaseeee anyone who is an alternate and got a call please let us know and you alternate #
