Polk State College Fall 2017

Decided to start a thread for Polk State College Fall 2017 nursing hopefuls! I'm hoping we can use this post to share our stats and anxiety during the application process. So, I'll go first. My name is Megan, I have a Bachelors degree from USF. My TEAS score is an 84, overall GPA 3.25, and prerequisite is 3.75. I'm actually retaking the teas to try to get a better score next month. Let you know how that goes. Hoping to hear back from some of you.

Im hoping tomorrow too, crossing my fingers.

First off, there the cut off for HCC is 2.8 for pre reqs and 2.0 for overall. There Is no way you would be rejected unless your TEAS score was absolutely terrible or you are fibbing about your GPA. Here is the link to their requirements: Admissions - Hillsborough Community College - HCC

My Teas score is 80.7 and I was not lying about my GPA. There is really no need to be rude, get all your information straight before accusing someone of lying please. Most of us here are already anxious enough. Thank you for your input but it is not appreciated.

Yes, those are the MINIMUM requirements to be CONSIDERED for acceptance into the program. However, there was an estimated 500 applicants this cycle. With only accepting 39 students per campus that offers the nursing program, that means only 117 of the 500 were accepted. 3.667 was the cut off of those 117 plus maybe 50 more people as alternates with gpas around 3.5...it literally says 3.667 in our rejection email.

Sorry! I wasn't trying to sound rude or accuse anyone of lying, It just seems weird that they would have the minimum displayed when no one ever gets in with that. I apologize!
