Polk State College Fall 2020 Hopefuls

Hello ? I wanted to start a thread for those applying to the fall 2020 ADN nursing program at Polk State College. I know the application period isnt open until May, but I was wondering if anyone on here was planning to apply and what your points are? Best of luck to everyone!

I’m having to take out a loan. I haven’t gotten anything yet. Financial aid told me disbursements were not until August 17th. I had put money aside to get by until the loan. I think you don’t have to pay for classes until the 30th.
maybe grants go out faster.

When I spoke with financial aid, they said that we would hear back by Friday (today). Since we have until the 30th to pay, I may give them until Monday to update the account. is anyone else still listed as out of state? I've given all my documents.

I am listed out of state as well, I contacted today and due to covid things are taking longer than normal.

I ended up emailing (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and he let me know what was going on (one of my forms got submitted to the lakeland campus which is what caused the issue). I had my residency issue fixed within 24 hours after that.

I can. Mine showed up yesterday. I submitted my FAFSA back in March.

It just keeps saying the link is only for students who complete an app through PSC's new admission system. I'm just a little worried because the 30th is Thurs

I see previous years' aid only, not for the Fall term. I checked my FAFSA and it was submitted last November. I had sent an email to Financial Aid last week and have heard nothing in response. I may have to enter into a payment plan at the last minute, I'd rather not have to put out an extra $25 for it when I'm clearly eligible for aid and loans.

My only concern with signing up for the payment plan is that we’re ‘agreeing’ to pay that amount, and for me it still says out of state which isn’t the case. So I don’t want to enter a legal agreement for that incorrect charge.

Also, has anyone signed up for that chapter thing? The two year membership nursing association?
