i am a paramedic and found a medic/lpn bridge to rn program that will work on my firefighter schedule after looking for five years. now the only problem is .........how am i going to pay for it?

if anyone has an idea of where to start looking for grants, scholarships, etc.

i would appreciate it.

Hi there..welcome aboard :) :balloons:

You can check with your school's financial aid office. Are you going to a community college?

You can apply for grant here: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

The less money you made last year the better chance you get more grant $$. That's the only site I know, other members may give you more sites to check. Good luck!

yeah the school is all over giving me a 12% interest loan. i was going to take a home equity loan but everytime i turn around i hear of some hospital or some gov't org. giving away cash in florida in exchange for a period of time of service. i just don't know how to find them, or if it is just some strange urban myth. i'll go to the site you noted. thanks.

I don't know where you are going to school but a 12% interest loan is a bit high. Sttanford Loans are much lower. I wonder if you are not being taken.
