Christmas morning I woke up wishing I was dead. The next day I had a chest X-Ray and was dx with pneumonia. So, last Friday I went to my pulmonary doc and he recommended I get a pneumonia vaccine. OK, no prob. By Saturday night I was sick, sick, sick. I have been on my couch for two days with chest congestion, nasal congestion and muscle aches. So my question is this...is this from the vaccine, from the trach patient that came in Friday night coughing up staph filled mucous, or from my 8 year old son (who was sick the week before) "snuggling" with mommy? (And by snuggling we all know I mean coughing in my face, ROFL):p

You got the bug from any source EXCEPT the vaccine. It is not a live vaccine.

My guess... from your son. :)

which brings up the point - wash hands frequently even at home. Change linens on beds of sick people. Basic nursing may prevent some of these unhappy events.
