Hi everyone,
I was hoping to get some insight to Northern Kentucky University's online PMHNP program. Has anyone applied to this program before? How was your experience with the application process? My concern is that it may seem too simple and am afraid I am missing something. I have a couple school in mind but this one seems to be a little odd. What are your thoughts?
Kindly,

I applied and was accepted for fall 2019. Fall 2019 was there first pmhnp cohort. It is easy to apply. I had declined the acceptance because I got into another school. Currently I am waiting to see if I get accepted into the local university for spring.

Hi,
Just be sure they are already fully accredited if this is their first cohort. A first year for any program can be rough (I went through that in my FNP program) so be prepared for changes throughout but it's doable.
Also, start studying for the exam as soon as you start. Buy the ANA book and review it, see what topics you are studying and how the book approaches them, do some practice questions related to what you are learning. What you learn in class isn't always what you will be tested on and doing this will help you relate one to the other.
Lastly, make sure they do not have an exit exam in the last term. I believe a lot of schools do this if they are not confident the material covered is adequate to pass boards, that way you don't even graduate hence an inflated pass score for the school. This will leave you without the degree and credits that probably won't transfer. Good luck, PMHNP is a great choice.
