Did anyone else on here apply to PLU for BSN? Couldn't find a topic for this.

No, I didn’t. I put all of my eggs in the PLU basket. Did you? I live in Poulsbo so my program options are extremely limited on this side of the water ? I really want to go to PLU though so even if I don’t get in this time, I’ll be applying again next cycle.

@xxkatniss I applied to UW and SU and didn’t get into either. Really hoping PLU works out! I live in Renton so the Seattle schools are closer but I can manage driving to PLU. I’m preparing to apply to a few ADN programs since I’m feeling discouraged by the BSN programs.

Aw, I’m so sorry about the rejections. My fingers are crossed so hard for all of us! ?? I’m glad to have found this post because it’s been difficult to find other applicants. I love that we can all keep in touch!

Hey guys!! If anyone is curious or hasn't accepted their general admission yet, I just emailed the school of nursing asking what to do and they said to contact the office of admission to let them know you are accepting the offer, but will pay the deposit after hearing your acceptance to the nursing program. Hope this helps anyone!!

Has anyone who applied after the priority deadline heard anything from the school of nursing?

Welp, today was the day my PLU counselor said to reach back out to her if I hadn't received a decision yet to request a refund of my deposit ? so, email sent in to her for that. Such a bummer! Really trying to stay positive!

And this was the response I just received back... so, for those of us who have been waiting, here's a fresh update.  

"I am so sorry! I do know they've alerted people who were admitted (there were less spots than normal) - so if you haven't heard, you probably have not been admitted. I am sorry it didn't work out! It has been fun working with you this year and I wish you the best of luck on your journey to becoming a nurse!!"

so are they not going to send out an email even if people did not get admitted??

I don’t know. I’m sure they will but if we’ve been rejected, just rip that bandaid off! Don’t keep us hoping!

I emailed the nursing program to confirm if what she said is true. Will update when I receive a response.

Yeah that seems extremely unprofessional. I’m shocked that a (I’m assuming counselor) would tell you that you didn’t get in like that. Also, they just forgot to let everyone know if they got in or not?

I just talked to my admission counselor and asked him why some people have already been admitted when many of us haven't received an email on whether we have been admitted or denied, and he said the school of nursing is sending out decisions in batches, so that's probably why a lot of us haven't heard anything yet and some people have!!
