PLU ELMSN 2018

Just wanted to start a thread, it was really helpful last year while applying (I got waitlisted but wasn't selected). Anyway, it was a great way to keep each other updated with how the process works and when interviews/selections/emails started to come from the school, a nice sounding board for going crazy with impatience waiting, waiting, waiting. I am applying for the 2018 entry into the ELMSN program at PLU and hope to submit my app within a week or two.

I called a few days ago but forgot to ask that.

Hahaha, yes, my questions were just verifying that they had the correct email and that my app was in order, just double checking, being anxious lol

Congrats HMorenoT! Did you get your acceptance today?

I'm just curious how they go about giving out acceptances - part of me hopes it's alphabetical since my last name starts with W lmao, so there's still time to get one :D

Any chance your last name starts with A? lolol

When did you send in your application? I sent mine in mid-november, though I did have to update it after the quarter ended with my grade.

Thanks! No, I was received the acceptance email on January 12th. My last name starts with an M haha. And I submitted my application at the beginning of December.

And yes, the deadline for the deposit is the 31st of this month. I will probably pay it no matter what, just to hold a spot while deciding on other schools.

I emailed the financial aid advisor to start asking about aid packages. Haven't heard back yet.

@SmcShane I called them just now to ask about class size and spoke with Christy, and she said 32 - so I still hold out hope and will continue refreshing my inbox once every 0.7 seconds :p

So of course acceptances and wait lists will get emails - do they send out an email if you're rejected as well? Like no matter what, will I receive something (obviously hoping for an acceptance though lol)

When I was waitlisted last year I got a letter. It seems like things are being handled via email for the most part this year. I did get a decline letter right before classes started when I wasn't selected off the waitlist, I think someone on here said they got a decline via email so again sounds like this year it is all via email. I'm doing the same thing, every time I see an email notification I hold my breath. The wait is the hardest.

Tell me about it. Especially when I get an email this thread has been updated, but all I see at a quick glance is "PLU ELMSN" In the subject heading.... Freaking heart attack lol

Just an update for those still wondering how the process works... I received my acceptance email on the 10th, received a welcome packet by mail the 19th.
