PLU ELMSN 2018

Just wanted to start a thread, it was really helpful last year while applying (I got waitlisted but wasn't selected). Anyway, it was a great way to keep each other updated with how the process works and when interviews/selections/emails started to come from the school, a nice sounding board for going crazy with impatience waiting, waiting, waiting. I am applying for the 2018 entry into the ELMSN program at PLU and hope to submit my app within a week or two.

Stats and background... Took me a bit to figure out where CASPA calculates the GPA.

CASPA Calculated GPA 3.46 (Science GPA 4.0, bachelors in behavioral science 3.67) Prerequisite GPA 4.0. GRE W:4, 155 157

I have been to 12 colleges, in person, online, etc. 14 years military service, Air Force special operations. EMT for 10 years not a primary job never actively practicing. 10 years certified rescue diver with volunteer experience, 4 years wilderness EMT with volunteer experience. 750 paid hours in the last 2 years as a Emergency Department Scribe.

I was previously accepted to University of San Francisco EL MSN which I politely declined. I also applied to OHSU Accelerated BSN-DNP Program and am confident I will at least get an interview there.

Hi everyone! Late to this thread, but I received an acceptance email as well! I was surprised at how early the deadline is for the non-refundable deposit. I am deciding between a few schools (and still interviewing at them!), so the early deadline is a little stressful. Anyone else in my same boat? For those that think they will accept PLU's offer, why are you choosing this school and this particular program? And have you heard from financial aid about a package yet?

I'm just curious how they go about giving out acceptances - part of me hopes it's alphabetical since my last name starts with W lmao, so there's still time to get one :D

Any chance your last name starts with A? lolol

When did you send in your application? I sent mine in mid-november, though I did have to update it after the quarter ended with my grade.

31st was the deadline I was given, which is a bit stressful since I wasn't expecting an answer until feb time frame.
