Thank you!! Well, right after I found out, I called my husband (no answer) and my parents (no answer) so I told some coworkers. My super exciting celebration was going to evening microbiology class. :-P I do have a special bottle of beer saved away that will probably be opened tomorrow evening.

My last name is MUCH further down the alphabet than "A", but I also haven't received the official email yet, so that could mean they are still calling people.

Ahh! Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted so far!!

Any mouse, for me, this is dragging on! I too feel like I'm holding hope even though it is one pm now! I figure that if I was going to receive a call, I would have by now! I suppose that whatever happens is how it will be, it would just be amazing to obtain a MSN instead, and at such a quick pace.

Perhaps I will try to stop checking emails and my phone for the rest of the day.

Hello Everyone. Grad Admissions at PLU here. I did make all the phone calls yesterday and left voice-mails for those who weren't around to answer. Those with shared answering machines that didn't seem like the specific person's personal voice-mail got a more vague, "I have good news, call me back and check your email" message for the sake of privacy.

The emails with the letters attached are going out today and we hope to get them all out by before 5:00, but it's possible we'll have a few that we can't get to until Monday. People have 3 weeks from the email date to deposit, and after that we move to the waitlist. No word on who is on the waitlist yet.

Thanks so much for your post mcboisvert. Just to clarify, do you mean that everyone who was accepted already received a phone call and will also receive a followup e-mail or that some people received acceptance through phone call and others will receive it by e-mail? In other words, are those of us who did not receive a phone call officially out of the running or is there still a chance we'll receive an e-mail letting us know we've been accepted? Sorry for my confusion!

Thank you for the clarification on this. I can set my phone down to rest now. Thank you to all of you over there for your time and help throughout the application process. It is rare to find somewhere that responds as quickly and thoroughly to inquires, and it was greatly appreciated.

May25 - I wish I could PM. Was PLU your top choice? I saw you in some other program threads and was wondering if you'd wait for their decisions before sending in a deposit.
