2014 PLU applicants?

Published

Anyone applying to PLU this year? I'm also applying to UW in Seattle, will be my 1st time applying to PLU, anyone have any tips or advice? Not sure how the application process for them works.

Just missed a call from a current student while I was in the shower.

Friday is my only completely free day during the week usually - no school, no work, no volunteer job. Funny how I can't wait for my one free day to be over so I have something else to occupy my mind!

I just received a call from a current student as well. I wasn't really expecting the call, so I hope I didn't sound like a moron. She was really nice and informative, and she sounded really excited to be part of the program. She advised me to brush up on my anatomy. :)

Eventful day. Now I am a bit shaken.

Got that phone call, but then just checked the mail.

Rejected.

I'm so very sorry anichka!!! There are no words to make you feel better.m, just so sorry. :(

Thanks, Jessica. I am glad I got the news on my day off. It's given me time to process it. I have spent the afternoon looking at my plans B, C, and so on. One school down, now three more to go (Seattle U, UW, WSU). At least for this current application cycle.

Anichka, I am so sorry to hear :( I know it must feel very discouraging but I have a good feeling you will get some good news from SU/UW/WSU very very soon!!!! SU still hasn't even decided on interviews so there's still lots of time!!! Chin up and think good thoughts!!

Just got an email that I will be interviewing at SU.

I think what killed me on this was GPA, and it may just not be my year yet. I thought my overall undergrad GPA was higher than it is (based on different calculation methods). If I want this enough, I will make it happen.

Yayyy!!!! Great news Anichka!

Congrats Anichka!! What track did you apply for? I received an interview as well, i applied to GNP. :)

Drenz4 I also received an acceptance to PLU :) maybe we will be classmates one day?! :)

Congrats maly!

I applied for FNP at Seattle.

I also want to mention that the Grad Admissions office was extremely gracious today dealing with my strange morning. The person who wrote back apologized for the awkward timing and said the student who called me, coincidentally, got in on her second try - so to try again next year.

I continue to be impressed with PLU for many reasons, and I will definitely apply there again next year if I am not going to school somewhere else. Sucks to be rejected because it was my top choice, but as my three-year-old says, "I live with it."
