USF is a local school to me, does it really matter to go to local school to get a NP job?

It depends...do you want to take the role as a CNL or a NP?
Thank you for replying. My ultimate goal is to be an NP, but I can't ignore local connections when it comes to getting a job, here the majority graduates from local schools seem to have better chances to get hired by major local hospitals in SF Bay Area. (I don't see any stats, so not accurate, but seems like it). So I feel I can't let go USF. it is regionally well- regarded school. Things is that I am not crazy about the CNL, here the bay area, the CNL role is not much recognized, I don't even see any single job posts looking for CNL, but coordinator or quality consultant might be the route to go with the CNL credential...
Seems non-RNs who have BS degrees pursue this to be an RN w/masters. But This School has a good reputation. I love the NP program with Univ. of Cinci, but It is nationally recognized, upon looking at top #8 online MSN program, but I worry about getting a job if I go to Cincinnati in the SF Bay Area after graduation
So I have a dilemma here

Hey sweetkimchi! I am currently in the same shoes you are in, except I'm from socal, deciding between UC and Azusa Pacific (Azusa Pacific is local for me), and both programs are for the MSN-FNP. I'm pretty torn between the two for different reasons. Which school did you end up going with?

Not sure why you are not applying to the multitude of np programs that Usf has? If np is what you want to be? Usf offers a bunch of different specialties is there something I am not catching here? I am currently in Usf Fnp btw
Hey theNicole,
I know it is really hard to decide, I ended up going to GWU for the AGNP program. Still I think Cincinnati is a great program and very organized. but GWU was my first choice school. How was your decision?

I realize that I didn't mention that USF was Univ. of San Fran So how has been your NP program so far? Is your program on-campus or online?
After rereading, I probably should have known it wasn't here in Florida, I just read the bay area and assumed Tampa. But as University of South Florida it is going well. It is a mix. Online for a lot of didactic, then in person for labs, and some lectures. I would say its a hybrid.
