thursday school 8:00 am-2:00pm (break) back at 6:00pm - 9:30pm then (home).

i am taking 4 classes a semester. how many classes are you taking a semester?

i get mon. fri. sat. and sun. off. these are my free days.

Thank you guys so much!!! I didn't know if it was too much or not. I am taking A&P1, Philosophy, Algebra and English???? My A&p class is at night from 6:30-9:30pm. I wanted to start really slow like 2 classes a semester but my grant won't allow it. I am thinking about turining in my 2 week notice at work so I can be 100% dedicated.

How much do you need your job? I think you can do well with those classes. Are you good at math? Math isn't usually so hard if you have a good professor. What got me through it was going on youtube and looking for videos that explained everything. It really, really helped me a lot. And of course, English is just writing. Always do your homework on the same day of the class if you can so you can just get it over with and not let work pile up. And then of course, philosophy is probably debates/research/writing. Get a study group for AP if you can. Just do your best and most of all, never, ever let stuff pile up. Good luck :)

On eagle wings:

Thanks! I really don't need my job at all. I just took if for something to do. I only work very part time. Math is (I thought) my worst subject but after reading through other post is seems as A&P is by far going to be the worst. Youtube has helped me alot! I have been trying to reasearch everything that I will have to learn in the pre-reqs (My Goodness its a lot!) So, I am trying to get a head start and learn the basic of this stuff. I always wanted to be an RN but let my fear get the best of me so I went and got my CNA, EKG tech, etc.. I have thought about just getting an LPN but they are not hiring LPN's at the hostpital. My dream is to become a scrub nurse. SO, After prayer and more prayer I have decided to concore my fears and put all the negativity in my head aside and GO for it! The worst that could happend is that I learn something...lol... I get on here almost everyday and see the post about people graduating and I just want to cry for them (I can't wait to be there) Anyways I a rambling on as usual. Thanks for the advice. Take care and God bless!

:) You'll do great, friend. Definitely!

I think it's a good schedule. Especially if you can get out of working and fully dedicated to your classes. I've got class from 12-5:00 on Tue & Thurs and then Friday from 9-2, which I consider a great schedule. I'm only taking four classes, Anatomy, Microbiology, Statistics and Develop Psych. Not to mention you have four straight days off lol. Something people usually only dream about when they're a full-time nursing student.

I'm taking 19 hours, 6 classes (3 of which are sciences). Only you know what you're capable of and how much time and effort you're willing to devote to studying.

Sounds like a reasonable schedule to me. You know what you are capable of and willing to do to get the best grades possible. Good luck.

In my experience, loading all your classes into a few days a week is a bad idea. Those days sitting in class for so long get exhausting, and it's harder to stay focused during free days. But, to each their own. It may work well for you.

Searay:

Our college is only a Tuesday -Thursday. I didn't want to have to quit my part time job (its only 3 days a month but it falls on wed.) So the advisor set my classes around my job. I told her I would be willing to let my job go if its going to make my schedule packed. She then smiled and said "we will make it work". I am not sure if that was my actual advisor because she said something about "filling in". I am going to go back and talk with my Permanet advisor. Initially, I didn't want to load my wrok course but most of the classes were filled because I registered late and I have to go full time for my grant So, I am kinda stuck. Most people seem to think its a good schedule and I have read on here that a lot of people have a way more complexed schedule then mine. I will stick with it and see if I can handle it then if it doesnt work I will see what I can do. Thanks for your input and hopefully this schedule will work out. God Bless!
