I just found this and didnt know if I should cry or laugh:uhoh21:

I am not a LPN yet but I will hopefully be starting nursing school in January, I have a friend who just got a job in LTC and they are starting her at $29/hr with no experience. I have been told that Connecticut is one of the highest paying states for LPN's and based on the other posts that I have read this may be true. I think that it's so sad that Lpn's don't get the pay or the respect that they deserve.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

I think I know where this postion is and if I am correct it is not a clinical position. I looked into this job but I dont want full time. I can confirm that this is not the average pay in the DFW area.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

If I remember right this is for a major mail out pharmacy in the area. The position was answering phones and talking with consumers about their meds and orders.. something like that. Then it mentioned contacting doctors offices and getting approvals for certain meds. the list of responsiblilites was overwhelming for $15 hr...

If one looks at the top

Healthcare - Health Services

Managed Care

Social Services

This ad is for an employer that is community based, not hospital or long term care which traditionally pays less monies. Also does not have the hassles of 24 hr staffing i.e mandated to stay till relief arrives. Not physically challanging to body but paperwork intensive coordinating "consumer"s needs --- most likely disabled or senior community services from reading ad.

Well in NC hospitals pay way less than long term care centers. A classmate is starting at the hospital in town making 12.50. i work in a rehab unit at a nursing home making 17.60.
